Welcome to a dreamy Caribbean vacation home located just a short stroll from world famous Grace Bay Beach. The Grace Bay Retreat features three charming bungalows outfitted in an island artists style. Located just 190 paces down a manicured path to Grace Bay Beach and tucked into the serenity of beautiful and relaxing gardens, The Grace Bay Retreat invites you to come relax and feel the magical serenity of this well loved property.
Not only is this retreat perfect for relaxing and enjoying the nearby sea, the property also features a 600 sqft Yoga deck, also perfect for sunbathing, dancing, cocktails and stargazing.
The Main House, Villa, and Cottage are a delightful group of 3 bungalows with ample indoor & outdoor spaces to relax. The property is surrounded by native greenery & filled with a personal collection of Caribbean art. Our guests love the colorful decor and lovely breeze that flows in from the nearby sea.
The Grace Bay Retreat was renovated in the summer of 2013. Naturally cooled, the house is sited to catch the breezes and view of the ocean from under the shade and whisper of the sea pines. All bedrooms have air conditioning. The airy ocean view living room includes a reading/napping alcove and TV with cable. This spacious room opens onto the well furnished North deck which in turn leads to the beach path, yoga deck and a covered side deck topped with a moon gazing tower.
Dine alfresco at the romantic outdoor table under the arbor just outside the kitchen. The furnished kitchen has a gas cooktop and Profile oven, all utensils (we love to cook), dishwasher, and a fridge with ice maker. The gas grill is on the north porch.
There are several restaurants along the beach within a short walk, including the Windsong for a stellar beachside breakfast and Somewhere for sunsets and Margaritas, Several water sports companies offer beach pickup with kayaking and paddles boarding rentals available.

This was my first time to the Caribbean and it was just as I imagined only better! I am SO happy I chose to stay here! When you stroll along Grace Bay, all the other hotels are quite soulless but these villas are the exception; they really are gems.
They’re nestled, maybe a minute and a half from the beach, up a sandy walkway in a really green lush area. (You can see in the pictures the green outside the villas!)
The owners are lovely; Lucy is a creative lady and her husband Jeffrey is also an architect and you can understand this very quickly by the beautiful spaces and buildings they have created for their guests.
Lucy met me at the car rental place at the airport and led me to the villas so it was absolutely stress free.
There is a great fully equipped kitchen and really good barbecue outside as well as about 5 different places to eat around the villas-literally!: on the main deck, on the side deck, in the garden, on the star-gazing platform; under the star gazing platform!! But alternatively if you would like to eat out there are some lovely restaurants just a few minutes walk along the each- ‘Somewhere’ and ‘Grace Bay Bistro’ were my favourites. It’s perfectly located.
At night when you come back to sleep, it’s just lovely, quiet and peaceful. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a stay here if you want to relax and get into the Caribbean chilled mood.
The location of the retreat is perfect. A short walk on a sand path brings you to beautiful Grace Bay, (slightly removed from the larger resorts and busy beaches. ) The bungalows were as described, with a warm and welcoming feel. Great touches of unique art. Lucy and Jeff made us feel welcome with delicious rum punch.
Grace Bay's soft sand and crystal clear blue water is truly amazing. We spent a good amount of beach time right there!
I highly recommend Island Vibes charted boat trips. The crew was fantastic. We saw whales and dolphin playing, snorkled, explored iguana island, and cruised through beautiful parts of the island.
We also enjoyed the Thursday night fish fry. If was great walking down the beach to eat, and the local venders were so friendly.
Artist retreat is perfect if traveling with other friends. There were 3 separate areas for sleeping, but the main house was great for all of us to share. The outside decks were all so nice that we spent most of our time relaxing outside.
Two weeks went so fast, we need plan a return visit.
This is our second year as a family of 6 at Lucy and Jeff's beautiful home. It is the perfect place to sit back and relax whether in the main house, on one of the many decks, or a short walk to the beautiful Grace Bay Beach. The stretch of sand is very private but also walkable (swimmable) to boat rides, snorkeling, and other restaurants. The breeze is cool and we love the open air feeling of the house and all of the lights hung up in the trees at night. Our family can't say enough great things about this hidden gem and can't wait to be back!
This wonderful cottage by the sea is in one word – magical. The mindfully manicured overgrown but perfect gardens surround one at every turn. Open windows, porches galore, lots of nooks to read. Totally cozy and comfortable everything at Grace Bay Retreat offers multiple options for your delight. A private fully equipped yoga deck in the shade, the perfect hammock, dining al fresco at a long sturdy wooden table, the enchanting main cottage and two others that offer guests rarified privacy open to nature. Or, close the french doors for AC. I stayed in the Queen room villa. Which in this context is a separate cottage with coffee, tea, mini fridge at my fingertips. I rarely unpack, as my suitcase is organized for living out of it. However, within the first hour, I had unpacked and moved in. Timeless and restful days enjoyed to the fullest. To add to the list of delightful options, the stroll to the very wide, expansive and almost private beach through a path of white
Sand remains forever etched in the inner folder of best moments ever. I cant finish without mentioning the artwork. It’s everywhere, but not overwhelming. It’s eclectic, tropical, colorful, stimulating and soothing.
I am not a cook, but the kitchen is appointed for one if that’s your thing.
Hostess and owner, Lucy Mott Lee is gracious and authentically fascinating, an artist herself. With architect husband, Jeffrey Lee, their unique talents and visions In the form of this property come together in a way that , well, makes me never want to leave.
