Stone's Throw Guest Book

Dear Mr. Moog - I wanted to take a moment to thank you for an exceptional rental experience at The Cottage Feb 19-26 from which we just returned. We are lucky enough to travel fairly extensively and I do a lot of travel advisory in my role as a Senior Private Banker nationally -- The Cottage fits into the description of a rare "gem"; I know it is your personal touch but what caught my eye initially was the architecture. Stunning. We plan on returning to The Cottage or renting Vieux Caribe in the future. Warm Thanks,
C. T. — San Jose, CA
Henry - I wanted to let you know how much my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. It was truly spectacular. Most days we floated in the bay and read books on the dock. At night we enjoyed exceptional food and wine at some of the local restaurants and resorts. It was truly what we needed and everything we expected from a fine vacation spot. Also, I wanted to let you know how much of a pleasure it was dealing with you and your staff. We will be sure to recommend Ocean Point to our friends. Thank you again. We look forward to a return trip in the near future.

Your taste for décor is impeccable and the site for your cottage, overlooking Taylor Bay, is like a dream. We had a most fantastic time.

We had a great time again. This was our second time staying at The Cottage, and we love the sunsets and the calm waters on Taylor Bay.

After visiting many other islands in the Caribbean, we decided to try the Turks and Caicos Islands this year. Ocean Point is a wonderful place to stay - the most serene and peaceful part of Provo. The Cottage is very comfortable and offers great sunsets and an outstanding private "sandy pool" right off the dock! We enjoyed feeding the fish off the dock and the baby barracuda too! We explored much of the island and snorkeled at Smith's Reef and Coral Garden - both very full of fish, with Smith's being the larger of the two. We rode down by Beaches, Leeward, and The Conch Farm and we all said that Ocean Point was the nicest part of the island. We had a wonderful, totally relaxing time. We are going back to Atlanta rested, de-stressed and a few pounds heavier!

It was our first time to Provo and I feel very lucky to have discovered Henry and Ocean Point Villas! The Cottage for the two of us has been perfect and the other houses certainly will tempt us back with a larger group. Rarely do you get so lucky with all aspects of an island vacation. The boating was great, as was bonefishing with a guide when we went to some of the surrounding islands/cays. We looked at lots of other areas and property elsewhere and we also believe Ocean Point is the most peaceful, with Taylor Bay to wake up to and wade in. We loved dining at some of the local conch shacks, as well as the upscale restaurants. Thank you Henry for all of your help and for creating such a wonderful cluster of houses! As we depart tomorrow and watch the weather channel, I feel for you with the snow in Atlanta... see you again,

There is no price you can place on the serenity that you experience at The Cottage! While the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, you can't miss out on the opportunity the clear nights give you to star gaze - absolutely amazing... make sure you pop one of the Coronas we left for the next inhabitants and enjoy!! Groceries are a little more expensive here - doesn't really matter where you go - IGA has everything and better quality. Sail Provo offered a great opportunity to see iguanas and a little more of the coast, as well as a chance to snorkel. If you get a chance to try renting a jet ski for half an hour to an hour, our trip out was well worth it. We saw a huge Southern Ray that proved to be a match for the speed of our ski vehicle pursuing him! You've got to try the conch chowder - wow! Grill some fish from the local fishery on Five Cays road. A week never went by so quickly! What a great place to stay. What a great island - We love Provo and we will be back!

The Cottage is one of the few vacation rentals that is better in person than on the internet! We were pleasantly surprised by the tasteful décor and the beautiful white sand beach just outside. We loved the diving, the conch shacks and some of the local restaurants. When we weren't diving, we sat on the dock, snoozing and reading. We also took a walk at sunset every night, down the beach to the house which is supposedly owned by Dick Clark.

This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cottage. We actually got married on May 18th on Taylor Bay. Our wedding was at sunset and the sunset that evening was the most beautiful fiery red! We had our wedding dinner with our families at Coyaba at Coral Gardens. The chef, Paul Newman, personally greeted every table and the food was spectacular. Romantic atmosphere; a little pricey, but worth it. We loved Sail Provo and actually took 2 separate cruises, we snorkeled at Coral Gardens, which was free! Great place to see lots of fish! You can even rent equipment there. We loved Hemingways, Tiki Hut, and breakfast at Ocean club West. The Cottage had everything we were looking for: excellent accommodations, relaxation, and serenity. This guest book was so helpful to us and we hope you will find it helpful too. Thank you to Henry Moog for making a little paradise here!

For the past three Christmas/New Years we have been everywhere from the Island of Malta to Barcelona, Spain - this year's location wins! Be sure to read through this book for helpful hints - there are many. My hint - pick up a few cans of pop top dog food. My sweet husband bit his tongue while I jumped out of our car to leave the cans for the wild and hungry dogs along the road. Could it be true what they say about Californians? Additionally, it is a pleasure to do business with people like the Moogs. We are so enchanted with the island we are going to look for some property. Happy New Year!

The best part of waking up at the Cottage is having coffee on the dock each morning. After that, the day just gets better...

We came to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, and just LIFE! What a place to celebrate. Since nothing can top this, we'll be back - thanks for the memories!

We have really enjoyed a Caribbean week at The Cottage. Wonderful weather and beaches, especially Taylor Bay where you are often all alone. Snorkeling at Smith's reef and Coral Gardens on the North side of the island was very good. Eating out in the evenings was very enjoyable - especially at Tiki Hit. Good local beer! Now we return to our snowy home and leave with lots of memories from Provo!

"Blizzard hits Northeastern States" As we left New England, little did we know that 27 inches of snow would arrive during the 24 hours following our departure. Our visit to the Cottage has been simply delightful - sure as heck don't want to leave and return to the cold and snow. Our highlights include: breakfast on the porch, cocktails on the dock, lying in bed listening to rustling palms, walking the beach, looking at the stars and planets at night, of course feeding the resident fish off the dock, Conch farm - good! Take the tour, the Glow worms, several of the island restaurants! P.S. low 80's and sunny every day!

The cottage was a great little house, quiet, cozy and a nice breeze most of the week. We enjoyed taking the rafts and wading through the water and spending the day on the beach. It was so beautiful and no one around for hours on end. The TCIs are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen - get a 4 wheel drive and head to Malcolm's beach - it's so beautiful! We had a great week here at the Cottage - just relaxed, read, and listened to the waves hit the dock - a welcomed alternative to our fast paces lives. By the way, the fish at the dock did not seem to like cheese and crackers!

AWESOMELY AMAZING!! Is as descriptive as it gets! Quite and tranquility is what I sought while planning this vacation, and this is definitely it! The management team is wonderful. We were accommodated with specific requests, without a question; and met at the airport, by Rhondda, who took the "bull by the horns" so to speak, to straighten out the lost luggage situation. We literally almost covered every inch of this island - so much so that at the close of this, we no longer need the map. This has been an unforgettable, memorable, relaxing vacation. We loved Malcolms beach, boat trips, snorkeling at Coral Gardens, and the great restaurants. I highly recommend renting a vehicle while here. There is so much to see and do. The Cottage itself has been quiet and peaceful and suited our needs just fine! All in all, this has been the best week of my life, being on the mend with a back injury. Fell in love with my husband all over again. I hope you too are as fortunate as we have been, to enjoy tranquility, peacefulness, and beauty, as this trip and Provo, is all of this and more!

It will be hard to say good bye tomorrow as we head back to the Saskatchewan prairies. The Cottage has been the perfect haven for de-stressing and pure relaxation. Nestled in the shade of palms with the perfect view of Taylor Bay, we have spent most evenings either on the dock or on the screened porch. We didn't even need to use the A/C at all. The Cottage is very energy efficient with fans and lots of windows to catch those tradewind breezes.
This our second visit to one of your properties (Gumbo Cottage in Turtle Cove last year) and we so appreciate the design, charm, comfort and locations that you offer. Your management company has taken very good care of us... from the welcome at the airport to the little vase of flowers and bottle of wine on the table upon our arrival to their prompt attention if we had a question or concern. We hope to bring our family back here and will definitely be renting from you. Shandon once again was a warm and personable contact and provided us with very useful and helpful information prior to our arrival.
Now I'm off for one last float in Taylor Bay... God willing we'll be back soon!

Greetings Shandon,
I would first like to say that our experience at The Cottage was the best. We were counting on a restful vacation and I must say we got so much more!...Great accommodations, beautiful vistas, warm sandy beach (feeding the fish at the dock every day), and perfect weather. We felt very comfortable in Provo and we so looking forward to returning! Thank you!
Best Regards,
