The Turks & Caicos are a conglomerate of 40 islands located 575 miles off the coast of Miami. As one would expect, TCI features paradisiacal landscapes, near-perfect weather, and the best seafood you will ever taste. Facts. Don’t take our word for it tho; here are some of the most common sayings (everyone seems to agree with).
1) Grace Bay Beach is trully amazing
Grace Bay Beach is consistently rated amongst the world’s best beach (Traveler’s Choice Awards on TripAdvisor). The soft white sands and glimmering turquoise waters are the trademarks of this world famous beach. With 11 miles of beach stretching along the North coast from the center to the Northeastern point of Providenciales; there are so many experiences to enjoy along this amazing stretch. Snorkel on Smith’s Reef (more on that below), parasail, or simply bask in the Caribbean sun as you take in exactly why this beach is so loved.
2) Traveling to TCI is a breeze
We welcome many first time guests to Turks & Caicos, and we constantly hear about what a wonderful and easy experience it was for them. Providenciales (Provo) uses US currency, English is the most common language, and the international airport (PLS) is conveniently located right on the island.
3) The Snorkeling is some of the best
Visitors can walk across the white sand of Grace Bay Beach in the neighborhood of Turtle Cove and swim out to the stunningly beautiful Smith’s Reef. Catch glimpses of colorful corals, fish, manta rays, sea turtles, and maybe even a dolphin!
4) Sailing/Boating excursions are unforgettable
Exploring the waters of Turks and Caicos by boat is truly an unforgettable experience! Provo offers sailing charters, fishing excursions, and plenty of snorkeling trips to suit all needs! Make sure to get out on that water as much as possible to truly experience the beauty of TCI.
5) The island fish fry is a must-do
The island fish fry occurs each Thursday night, starting around 5-6pm. This event is a must-do! Taste tons of local fish like grouper, snapper, and conch. You can also buy souvenirs, delicious drinks and enjoy the live music.
6) Getting around is a breeze
Most guests get around the island with a rental car, which is easy. The island is easy to traverse and explore with a car. After driving around for 1-2 days, you’ll have covered most of it 🙂
7) The kids love Sapodilla Bay Beach
