Cascade: Eco-friendly villa

Eco-friendly travel has become something that travelers are seeking when trying to decide between properties. It is taking the impact on the environment into consideration when deciding where to travel, how to get there, and what to do while on vacation.

Booking an eco-friendly villa means being more environmentally conscious and living in a way that is more earth-friendly. It is thinking twice about how the roof over our heads affects the blue sky above it.

Overall, booking an eco-friendly villa will help leave a smaller eco-footprint and help protect the tropical paradise we know as Turks & Caicos. Through a number of implementations, guests staying at Cascade will be able to conserve more energy, limit water waste, ditch disposables, recycle, enjoy a water filtration system, and use eco-friendly cleaning products.

Here are some further tips to reduce your environmental impact during your stay:

Use your own reusable water bottle included with the villa
Use your own reusable grocery bag provided with the villa
Use environmentally friendly bug spray. Here is an option you can buy online, alternatively purchase on island at Lemon 2 Go (BONUS: it was invented by Army Veterans!)
Use reef-safe sunscreen. I know we all love a good spray sunscreen, but in order to keep the ocean safe for all that live in it, you need to use reef-safe sunscreen. Several are recommended here.
Here is a sunscreen recommended for kids and it’s only 3oz so you can pop it in a carry-on.
Bring a UV rash guard. This means less sunscreen and fewer sunburns! Learn more here.
